Tim Schott


Webster County Attorney Tim Schott has been a full-time prosecutor in Webster County for more than 9 years.  Prior to becoming county attorney, he worked as the first assistant to former county attorney Ron Robertson for approximately four years.  Schott was elected to a four-year term as county attorney in November 2002.  Schott has prosecuted all levels of crime, including felony drug cases, felony assaults, murder and sexual abuse cases.  He graduated with honors from the Drake University Law School in 1995.  He also earned a Master's Degree in Mass Communication from Drake University in 1995. 
He graduated cum laude from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor's degree in business administration.  Schott is active in the Iowa County Attorneys Association, where he serves on the legislative committee and the civil practice committee.  He is a member of the Iowa Prosecuting Attorneys Training Coordinator council.  He is also a member of the National District Attorneys Association, the Iowa State Bar Association and the Webster County Bar Association.  Schott has taught college courses at Iowa Central Community College and at Buena Vista University's Fort Dodge Center.
