Program Information: This program provides barrier-free access to immunization services for children aged 2 months through 18 years, and provides on-going immunization education to the public and health care professionals.
The Webster County Health Department continues to provide childhood immunizations. It remains an important service to the community.
Immunizations are offered every other Tuesday at the Health Department. Immunizations are also offered by appointment during the week as needed.
Reminders and return phone calls are utilized in an attempt to ensure that all children are up-to-date in their immunization series. Keeping children up-to-date remains a challenge as families move in and out of the county and become difficult to track.
The Webster County Health Department is responsible for providing seasonal influenza vaccine to the public. Multiple vaccination clinics for seasonal influenza vaccine are offered to small communities, in addition to school-based and work site clinics.
Vaccines are based on income. The 2010 seasonal influenza vaccine charge was set at $20.00.
