Regular Meeting
August
28, 2007
The Board of Supervisor met in Session on the
above date with the following members present: Condon, Dencklau, Lizer, Motl
and Nolting. Absent: None.
Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to approve
minutes of August 21, 2007, regular meeting.
Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau to receive
and place on file the following Drainage Repairs: D.D.#5, D.D.#29, Joint D.D.#107 Webster & #221 Boone,
D.D.#219, D.D.#278 and D.D.#316. Motion
carried unanimously.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve
employment of Doreen Pliner, effective August 22, 2007, and Laura Geist,
effective September 4, 2007, as Clerks in Auditor’s office, at the rate of
$10.78 per hour. Motion carried
unanimously.
Moved by Motl, seconded by Lizer to approve and
authorize Chair to sign Addendum No. 25 – Fiscal Year 2007-2008 Webster County
Law Enforcement Center Memorandum of Understanding. (Copy on file in Auditor’s office). Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to approve and
authorize Chair to sign Occupancy Agreements with Webster County Farm Bureau
and Webster County Extension. (Copies
on file in Auditor’s office). Motion
carried unanimously.

Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve
proposal in the amount of $27,544.00 from B & W Control Specialists for
roadside noxious weed control in Webster County. (Copy of map with locations is on file in Auditor’s office). Motion carried unanimously.
Sharon Gross, Clare City Clerk and other Clare
City officials discussed drainage problems and storm damages. Board agreed to look into their concerns and
hire a Drainage Engineer to investigate and address any issues.
Justin Jones, representing Upper Des Moines
introduced their new Director, Ron Ludwig.
Moved by Motl, seconded by Lizer the meeting
adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
