Regular Meeting

The Board of Supervisor met in Session on the above date with the following members present: Condon, Dencklau, Lizer, Motl and Nolting.   Absent:  None.

 

Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to approve minutes of December 11, 2007, regular meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau to receive and place on file Drainage Repairs in D.D.#325.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve employment of Danelle Wood, Civil Clerk in Sheriff’s office at the rate of $10.78 per hour, effective December 19, 2007.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Motl, seconded by Lizer to approve salary increase to $13.80 per hour for Kari Crooks, Correctional Officer, effective November 27, 2007.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to approve part-time employment for Hector Mendez, Correctional Officer at the rate of $10.30 per hour, effective December 28, 2007.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau to receive and place on file resignation of Emily Roethels, Correctional Officer, effective November 28, 2007.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve salary increase for Steve Drew, Case Manager to $17.45 per hour, effective December 18, 2007.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Motl, seconded by Lizer to approve and authorize Chair to sign addendum to architect contract with Allers Associates Architects, P.C.  (Copy on file in Auditor’s office).  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to approve assignment of Tax Sale Certificate #98346 to Jameel Hameed for the amount due of $360.00.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau, to set January 2, 2008 at 10:00a.m. as the time and date for Re-organizational/Regular Board of Supervisors meeting, due to the New Year Holiday.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve and authorize Chair to sign utility permit application from MidAmerican Energy to bore 2” conduit with electric cable across 170th Street in the Northwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 89 North, Range 28 West, Cooper Township. (Copy on file in Engineer’s office).  Motion carried unanimously.

 

The following quotations were received to purchase new single axle dump truck equipped with snow equipment and to be used with pavement patcher:

Moved by Motl, seconded by Lizer to accept the low bid for the purchase new single axle dump truck equipped with snow equipment and to be used with pavement patcher, submitted by Don’s Truck Sales, Inc., in the amount of $82,895.00.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Lahoma Counts, representing Elderbridge Agency on Aging discussed fiscal year 2008-2009 funding.  No action taken.

 

Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to allow claims.  Motion carried unanimously.
