Regular Meeting
Tuesday January 27, 2009
The Board of Supervisors met in Session on the above date with the following members present: Condon, Dencklau, Motl, Singer and Peterson. Absent: None.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve the following as the Official Canvass of Drainage District #96, held on January 17, 2009: Election District #1 – Dale Gerken 7 votes; Scattering none. Dale Gerken duly elected Trustee, Drainage District #96. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve minutes of the January 20, 2009 regular meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Motl, seconded by Singer to receive and place on file the Drainage Repairs in D.D. #30, D.D. #37, and Joint D.D. #70 Webster & #95 Calhoun. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Singer, seconded by Peterson to receive and place on file salary increase for Jennifer Ellis to $17.50 per hour, effective February 1, 2009, per approval of Webster County Public Health Board. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Peterson, seconded by Dencklau to approve employment of Bryan Wilson, Part-time Jailer at the rate of $10.61 per hour, effective January 28, 2009. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to receive and place on file Manure Management Plan Update for Greenview Farms, Inc, Section 1, Paton Township, Greene County, Iowa. (Copy on file in Auditor’s office). Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Motl, seconded by Singer to receive and place on file Semi Annual Report of Webster County Treasurer for period ending December 31, 2008.

Moved by Peterson, seconded by Dencklau to approve employment of James R. Kilen, Welder/Fabricator in Secondary Road Department at the rate of $15.65 per hour, effective February 2, 2009. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve tentative Labor Agreement with Road Workers for period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012.

Article 6, Sick Leave
Use of Sick Leave Change last 2 sentences of paragraph to read: Employees will be allowed to use three (3) days of his/her accumulated sick leave per fiscal year for the illness of the employee’s mother, father, spouse, child or step child. The three (3) family illness days may be used in hourly increments.
Article 7, Funeral Leave
Delete “present County employee”. Add: Up to one (1) day of paid leave will also be granted to attend the funeral or memorial service of a current County employee.
