Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered all Iowa restaurants and bars to close as of noon today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Food and beverages may be sold through a carry-out, drive-through or a delivery only basis.
Governor Reynolds also ordered closed all fitness centers, health clubs, health spas, gyms, aquatic centers, theaters, casinos and gaming facilities, senior citizens centers and adult day care settings, and any other mass gathering of more than 10 people.
These closures were made with the intent of stopping the community spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Based on CDC guidelines of mass gatherings, if Webster County, City of Fort Dodge, or area law enforcement see gatherings of people of 10 or more, they will ask them to disperse. This is being done for the public’s own safety as the purpose of social distancing is to stop community spread of COVID-19. In this public health emergency, it is imperative that residents stay home and treat the pandemic seriously. This is not the time to plan play dates or family gatherings.
